4 General
4.0.1 This Specification is prepared in order to encourage technical innovations,improve workmanship,safety and quality and enable compliance with design requirements in prestressing tendon construction in hydropower and water resources projects.
4.0.2 Design drawings,technical documents and construction conditions related to the rock-earth mass or concrete structures to be anchored shall be obtained before commencement of prestressing tendon construction.
4.0.3 Construction method statement shall be developed for construction of prestressing tendons,and detailed construction process instructions shall be prepared based on the type of tendons.Technical presentations shall be given before construction is commenced.
4.0.4 Performance or production tests shall be carried out for important prestressing works to verify the design parameters and improve the construction workmanship.
4.0.5 Materials and equipment used in prestressing works shall be certified for their intended applications.
4.0.6 Where,under complicated geological conditions,side slopes are reinforced using comprehensive reinforcement measures such as load reduction,anchoring,drainage and supports,their construction procedures shall comply with the design requirements.
4.0.7 Construction method with feedback information should be adopted for prestressing anchoring works.
4.0.8 Advanced technologies,new techniques,new-type materials and new-type equipment shall be encouraged in prestressing tendon work to improve prestressing tendon construction.
4.0.9 Ecological and environmental protection shall be considered in prestressing tendon construction,for which technical measures shall be proposed based on project conditions.
4.0.10 Tests and construction records shall be processed,summarized and filed in time.
4.0.11 Prestressing tendon construction in hydropower and water resources projects shall,in addition to the provisions in this Specification,comply with other current national standards,laws and regulations.
